GirlfriendGPT is not your typical “look-at-our-hot-AI-girls” type of AI girlfriend platform. Instead, it feels more like a community where users can create their own AI girlfriends and share them in the public library. This does not just create a gigantic character library—it also results in some seriously unique characters, which I’ll cover later in the chat and roleplay section.

Anyway, GirlfriendGPT has more than 100,000 characters, and the vast majority are women. Unlike Candy AI, OurDream AI, or most traditional AI girlfriend platforms, GirlfriendGPT attaches a roleplay scenario to every character. This means every chat pulls you straight into a story. Some begin on a university campus, while others take place in a complete fantasy world. There are even characters based on your favorite movies, allowing you to play as the protagonist and give the story your own twist.

Chats on GirlfriendGPT are realistic, fast, detailed, and very unique. Most AI girlfriend apps struggle with memory limitations, meaning that after roleplaying for a while, your AI character may simply forget what you said earlier in the conversation.

It’s clear to me that this platform is built around the chat experience because it has a ton of features specifically designed for it. For example, you can adjust the response length, choose whether you roleplay in the first person or as an observer, and even control the level of sexiness.

GirlfriendGPT leans heavily into people’s kinks and fetishes. The platform includes characters and roleplay scenarios for BDSM, cuckold, futa/trans, femdom, and countless others. The external image generator, which sits outside the chat, does allow you to write your own prompts. The prompt adherence is pretty good. I generated more than 100 images, and the vast majority of the time, the generator followed my prompt almost word for word. If you have read my Candy AI review , you already know why this matters: when the AI does not follow your prompt, you can end up spending a lot more tokens trying to get what you want because you rarely get it right on the first try.

The main drawback of the GirlfriendGPT image generator is the quality. The technology they use feels slightly behind, so every now and then, images come out with deformed feet, six fingers, or other obvious mistakes.

The video generator of GirlfriendGPT is actually pretty good. Although you can only generate videos with the presets (same as with in-chat images) the presets that they have are really good. Also if you have the Deluxe plan you can generate videos with Audio. Something most AI girlfriend apps don't offer yet!

The voice messages are also pretty good. you can pick from 26 different voices including some really cool accents like African American or French. Its part of the roleplay experience after all so i expected nothing less.

What It Really Costs

If you are someone who likes paying for a subscription without constantly worrying about upsells, running out of tokens, extra charges, or paywalls, GirlfriendGPT will be your best friend. The platform offers three simple plans: $12, $24, and $49 per month. I bought the $49 plan myself, which gives you better memory and access to the Pro image generator. To be honest, though, the $24 plan is enough for most people. Image, voice, and video generation are also cheaper than on most competing platforms. I rarely speak to anyone who actually needs to top up their tokens, so the realistic cost is very close, if not identical, to the advertised price.

It offers a highly realistic and immersive chat experience centered around adult topics, kinks, and fetishes. Combined with its gigantic character library, there is almost a 100% chance you will find a character that suits you.
