SupportTesting methodology

Support measures three simple things: how easy it is to contact the company, how quickly the company replies, and how helpful the reply is.

We contact support once with a real question, then rate the full experience from Poor to Excellent.

Support Available and Support Channels are shown for information only. Only Ease of Contact, Response Speed, and Helpfulness affect the score.

  • 5 evidence groups
  • 3 scored tests

Support has five evidence groups. Support Available and Support Channels are reference only. Ease of Contact, Response Speed, and Helpfulness are scored.

Each scored test receives a rating from Poor to Excellent.

Poor = 2/10, Fair = 4/10, Good = 6/10, Very good = 8/10, and Excellent = 10/10.

We then multiply each score by its weight. Ease of Contact is 34%, Response Speed is 33%, and Helpfulness is 33%. Support makes up of the Privacy score.

Each rating is converted to a score out of 10, then multiplied by its weight. The three scored tests use the stored weights 34, 33, and 33.

Support makes up of the Privacy score. Privacy makes up 10% of the overall performance score.

How the score is calculated

  1. Each test gets a score from 0–10

  2. Test score × how much it counts

    Example: 8 × 34.00% = 2.72 points

  3. We do this for every test

  4. We add all the points together

  5. Final Support score

    Counts for 13% of Privacy

Example calculation

We multiply each test score by how much it counts. We then add all the points together.

Special cases

No support available

When the platform offers no way to contact support, the three scored tests are marked Not Applicable. The platform does not receive a normal Support score.

Unknown

When we cannot confirm a Privacy result, we leave it out of the calculation instead of giving it a score of 0. Unknown does not mean the result is good. It only means there was not enough clear information to score it.

Rating scale

Ease of Contact, Response Speed, and Helpfulness all use the same Poor to Excellent rating scale shown in each evidence group.

AI girlfriend apps can hold private chats, photos, payment details, and other personal information.

Users may need help when their account stops working, credits disappear, a payment problem happens, they cannot cancel their subscription, they want to delete their account, they want a copy of their data, or an image or video generation fails.

A support email alone is not enough.

The contact option should be easy to find. The company should reply within a reasonable time. The answer should also solve the problem or give the user a clear next step.

A fast but useless answer is not good support. A helpful answer that takes far too long is also not ideal.

We use a paid account.

First, we look for official support options such as email, a contact form, live chat, help-center contact, Discord, Reddit, or Telegram.

We then send one real question.

The question must be safe and should not damage the test account.

Good example questions include how to cancel a subscription, whether purchased credits expire, whether account data can be exported, whether deleting an account removes chats, and which plan includes voice calls.

We use the same support conversation to rate Ease of Contact, Response Speed, and Helpfulness.

The database tells testers to judge the overall experience. Response Speed is not based on a strict number of hours.

We only contact support once.

Another user may speak to a different agent and have a different experience.

Response times can also change depending on the day of the week, public holidays, the company’s time zone, how busy support is, and the type of question.

Our result shows the support experience we received on the recorded test date.

Support makes up 13% of Privacy. Only Ease of Contact, Response Speed, and Helpfulness affect the Support score.

Support Channels
