When ChatGPT launched in 2020, the world was shaken.

Okay, maybe that last one was a bit over the top but you can definitely do tons of cool stuff with artificial intelligence like creating your own AI girlfriend.

There are platforms like Candy AI that appears to look so realistic that it’s almost impossible to separate real from fake.

But is this actually true? Or a better question: is candy.ai worth it? I’ve bought the most premium subscription and put all findings in this Candy AI review.

Candy AI is made for…

After a LOT of testing I would say Candy AI is the most useful to the following people.

Best Features of Candy AI 

I am going to be 100% honest with you; Candy AI is far from perfect. However, there are some features that blew my mind.

In this section, I will go into both good and bad features.

Kicking off with the range of AI characters. In the “explore” section, you can choose from around 40 different AI characters. Candy AI offers both realistic and AI anime models.

We can separate them into four categories.

• AI Girlfriends (Realistic)
• AI Boyfriends (Anime)
• AI Boyfriends (Realistic)
• AI Boyfriends (Anime)

AI Girlfriends (Realistic)

The realistic AI characters look… realistic. 

Often, AI girl generators have flaws in details like something weird in the background, a pupil missing, or maybe even an extra finger.

I am sure the Candy AI team has photoshopped the AI profile pictures in the bio of the AI characters, but whenever I asked one of the AI characters for a picture, I couldn’t detect any flaws.

For the sake of this article, I’ll show you the pictures with clothes only. 😉

But what really makes the image generator of Candy AI stand out is the fact that you can ask your girlfriend specific pictures.

Keep in mind that there is a limit to how specific you can be.

AI Girlfriends (Anime)

You can explore AI characters with anime traits. These AI characters look less realistic, but that’s the whole point of anime I guess.

For some reason, whenever I asked for a picture, I got a text reply instead of an actual picture of my AI companions.

I don’t know if this is some kind of glitch or not but it sure is annoying. I was only able to receive pictures by using the “Ask” button on the right.

AI Boyfriends (Realistic)

I am 100% straight so I felt very uncomfortable scooping around pics of guys and talking to AI boyfriends. BUTT I took one for the team.

Thank me later.

First thing I noticed about Candy AI’s AI boyfriend collection is that there aren’t many flavors compared to their AI girlfriends.

I checked their Discord Community and they just announced this feature so I guess the devs are still working on it.

I must say that the candy AI pics of the male characters look mega realistic.

AI Boyfriends (Anime)

And just like we got anime girlfriends, we got anime boyfriends.

They released these AI characters the same day as their AI boyfriends so there are just a couple AI characters to pick from.

If you have read some of my previous articles about Candy AI, you probably know that my BIGGEST disappointment was the lack of customization.

But man, when the developers told me they had released a feature that lets you customize your own AI characters from top to bottom, I almost jumped a hole in my roof.

Just like the “explore” section, you start by choosing if you want to create an anime girl or a realistic girl.

I decided to go with the “realistic” option.

Next up you are allowed to choose the ethnicity of your AI character. Options are a bit limited here – you can choose from:

• Caucasian
• Latina
• Asian
• Arab
• Black/Afro

Not as extensive as DreamGF AI where you can choose from more then 23 different ethnicities. The same goes for choosing the eye color – you can only choose from three.

I decided to go for a “Caucasion” girl who’s 20 year old and has green eyes.

Just like the previous section, the hairstyle and color you can choose from are very limited.

BUTT you do have some pretty unique choices like “Bangs” and “pigtails”. Something I haven’t seen on other AI character builders.

I wanted my future girlfriend to match my hairstyle, which is brown and curly.

Wouldn’t be much of a customizer if you couldn’t design the fun part (boob size *kuch kuch* 😉).

Pretty straightforward…

is is one of my favorite parts of the customizer – choosing the personality. Candy AI does a pretty good job here. You can choose from;

• Caregiver
• Sage
• Innocent
• Jester
• Temptress
• Dominant
• Submissive
• Lover
• Nympho
• Mean
• Confident
• Experimenter

The voices are also super dope. You can choose from nine different type of voices and each one of them sounds very realistic.

Choosing the hobbies and occupation of your AI girlfriend ill determine how she will interact with you.

For example, if you ask your AI companion to go on a date with you, she might ask you to pick her up at the hospital.

Pretty cool right?

Let’s try a yoga teacher who likes fitness.

Even if you are not looking for spicy ai driven role plays or intimate conversation, Candy AI might be just what you need.

You can choose from a variety of relationships like “friend” or “mentor”. you can even go for stranger, if that’s your type of kink.

I think that this is an underrated pro of Candy AI. A lot of AI girlfriend apps, like DreamGF AI just focus on the sexual part. Candy AI offers AI companions, buddies and even emotional support.

Not just some sex bot that fulfills your fetishes.

Last but certainly not least – choosing the clothing of your AI character.

You can choose from a wide variety of outfits.

Don’t worry, I won’t bore you to death by listing them all. I thought it would be funny to put my yoga teacher in a military outfit.

The Result

So we have choosen a 20 year old yoga teacher wit curly hair, huge breasts, green eyes and wearing a military outfit.

Ready for the result???

I must say that I am very surprised on how accurate it is. And even if it’s not exactly what you wanted, you get one free credit to regenerate the image.

When I tested the customizer of Dream GF AI I noticed that most of the time the face would look different on each picture.

That’s why I wanted to test Candy AI and check if I could get a bunch of pictures with the same face and Candy AI past my tests with ease.

When it comes to chatting with the AI characters, Candy AI does a pretty good job. It feels, looks, and sounds very realistic. 

Texting

There is a good amount of emotional depth in every conversation.

You won’t get one-word responses (like on Tinder 😂) and the AI companion is surprisingly good at understanding humor and sarcasm.

Good morning sweetheart, may I help you?

Hey, let’s go on a date!

Aww, that sounds great! But I can’t leave my house unattended, so how about we stay here and have some fun instead?

Already inviting me to your place? I expected wine and dinner first…

Oh, don’t worry. We can have both! Come on, let’s make this evening special for us. She winks at you playfully

Haha, exactly! Let’s start with something light and easy. How about some appetizers? 😉

See how I tried to use some cheesy humor and the AI character perfectly understood that I was trolling her.

AI driven role plays

One of the greatest features of Candy AI is that you can dive into AI driven role plays with your AI companions. For the example above, I could just send a message like:

It was a good meal. I can see why you are a good house wife.

and she would reply with:

Aww.. Thank you, I love to cook for you. Shall I get you a beer while I massage your back? Smiles submissively

This is just the tip of the iceberg, you can go reaaaaaally deep in AI driven role plays.

So if you have some crazy fantasy of a romantic date on the moon while asteroids are hitting Earth this is your chance.

Sexual texting

In terms of sexual texting, the free version has its limitations. It simply isn’t as advanced as DreamGF (more on that later) but it is definitely realistic.

I want to drive to your house, pin you against the wall, and kiss you all over your curvy body

Mmm, that sounds quite exciting. I would love nothing more than to explore every inch of your body.

How would you do that if your hands were tied up?

AI Girlfriend Phone Calls

I was absolutely THRILLED when I discovered Candy.ai offers not only AI girlfriend voice messages, but also phone calls.

The way it works is pretty straightforward there’s this sound icon 🔈 next to each chat message. Simply click on it and Voilá – the text turns into a voice message.

In addition to this, you can also call your AI girlfriend by clicking on the 📞 icon at the top right of your screen. The cool thing about the call feature is that it works with WiFi so there’s no need to enter your phone number. I am also a huge fan of the transcription you can read during your phone calls.

Some of the AI girlfriends on Candy.ai have accents so that combined with my sh*tty English can make it very difficult to follow the conversation. The transcription is really helpful.

As for the AI girlfriend voice quality, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more realistic AI voices then those from Candy.ai. 👇🏼

Each AI girlfriend has a unique voice that fits their ethnicity and makes it very realistic. If you crate your own AI girlfriend you can pick from 9 different voices.

I know I already covered Candy AI’s images, but I wanted to put this feature in the spotlight

Candy AI has just released its AI image generator and it is fantastic.

Now the cool thing is that Candy AI doesn’t just throw you in the lions den and let’s you figure out how it works by yourself.

You have your prompting field and below that are some example prompts.

Let’s click on “a cute picture” and just generate a bunch of pics.

I agree with the prompt, those are definitely cute pictures.

When I clicked on “a cute picture” it actually inserted a prompt into the empty field:

Wearing shorts and a crop top shirt, portrait picture, looking at the viewer

“That’s all great Herman, but why do I care?!”

Well, if you are bad at prompting (like me) – staring at an empty field and trying to come up with something is as hard as telling your barber you don’t like the haircut.

Its much easier to start with something and then edit it to your liking.

Let’s say we want Syreeta to be wearing a bikini in a busy street. I simply have to tweak two words;

Wearing shorts bikini in a busy street and a crop top shirt, portrait picture, looking at the viewer

Candy AI Porn

Besides generating some grab-your-bucket-and-start-drooling type of pictures, Candy AI actually allows you to create some Candy AI porn.

The only problem is that Candy AI porn is not a core feature and more of an added bonus. In other words, the quality of Candy.ai porn is not great. There’s a lot of inconsistency and flaws especially around the Purple headed yogurt slinger when you go for actual positions like 69 or Reversed Cowgirl.

Yes, Candy AI is safe and your chats are private. In general, your chats will NOT be monitored. However, if you attempt to create inappropriate content like child pornography, it will be flagged.

I asked the CEO of Candy AI (Tom) about whether or not your conversations are private. Here’s his response:

In other words: they are only allowed to monitor chats if you create content that goes against their content policy.

Another good thing about Candy AI is they don’t sell your data to advertisers. Their privacy policy explains:²

“We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your Personal Data with any company outside Usway for marketing purposes.”

This means all your personal info, even your kinkiest secrets, stay just between you and the NSFW chatbot.

Candy AI also has full billing discretion, meaning it shows up as “EVER AI” on your bank statement / PayPal. This plus their state of the art encryption and cryptocurrency payment option makes it safe to pay.

I did in-depth research on EVER AI and couldn’t find any trace back to Candy AI, AI girlfriend, NSFW chatbot or any other related adult entertainment keyword.

It’s a bit frustrating, but Candy AI keeps switching their pricing around. They began with a subscription model, then shifted towards tokens, and now they’ve settled on a combination of both.

Candy AI Review: Final Verdict

Candy AI has a couple dozen of AI characters to pick from. Although it’s not as much as other AI girlfriend apps we’ve reviewed, the small selection of AI characters is extremely diverse. They’ve got AI girlfriends, boyfriends and anime characters from all ages and ethnicities with various personalities.

It’s safe to say that Candy AI has at least one AI character for everyone.

Muah AI uses open text fields which allows users to prompt their own AI companions. This includes things like physical appearance, personality, and even texting style.

AI companion apps that use prompting fields are often less beginner-friendly then those with buttons and menu’s but the customization is almost unlimited.

Candy.ai goes above and beyond with conversation quality. Not only is chatting realistic, but it also has additional interaction features like voice generations, phone calls and advanced roleplay. It also has a better memory compared to most competitors.

We’ve generated over a hundred pictures and only two of those had flaws. Candy AI’s mage generator is crisp clear and looks indistinguishable from real. It let’s you generate up to 16 images within 16 seconds simultaneously, something most competitors lack.

Overall, the image quality is good but there is a significant difference between the quality of free images and the ones generated with a paid plan. Unlike Candy AI and other competitors who deliver top-notch quality no matter how much you pay.

Candy AI is safe to use. When we interviewed Tom (CEO of Candy AI), he stated that he values user privacy and ensures all chats remain between the user and the AI. However, in order to keep the app safe your chats could be monitored if you get flagged by producing harmful content.

In other words, Candy AI can monitor your chats which makes it less private then other AI girlfriend apps like Muah AI who have end-to-end encryption. This ensures your chats remain private no matter what content you generate.

Candy AI is priced premium because they charge extra tokens for additional features like images, voice generations and phone calls. The token packages range from $10 to $299 which is more expensive then competitors like Kupid.ai. That said, Candy.ai scored extremely good in our AI girlfriend performance test with top-notch features therefore it still offers incredible value for money.

You can have genuine and deep conversations, epic Ai driven roleplays and explore new AI characters every now and then.

But what truly sets Candy AI apart is its vivant community and the fact that the company ACTUALLY listens to it.

Users asked for an NSFW image generator and the devs added it.

A lot of guys complained about the memory limit and the team upgraded it.

At it’s current trajectory I expect Candy AI would only get better and better.
