When I first read through the list of data GirlfriendGPT collects from its users I thought: “Hmm… what do they mean with advertising data? I hope I don’t sign up and get nuked with emails trying to sell me stuff.
Fortunately, GirlfriendGPT has a section in their Privacy policies that clearly states that they are only allowed to use third-party marketing campaigns with your consent.
In plain English: You won’t get bombarded with phone calls and emails from random agencies in Bangladesh because you used their AI companion platform.
On the flip side, when you sign up for GPT Girlfriend you automatically agree that they are allowed to contact you with updates, discounts, and other stuff.
This is not as bad as it sounds. From my personal experience, GPT Girlfriend only contacts me when they actually have something important to tell me.
For example, just recently they did this update where they informed to be cautious of imposters, blackmailers, and other scammers.
