The only problem is that all these features aren’t that easy to navigate through as a beginner. Not to mention there’s almost nothing to be found on the internet on how to use Crushon AI.

Crushon AI Tutorial: Getting Started
If you are a complete greenie to NSFW Character AI alternatives then you’ll most likely jump a hole in your roof when I tell you that Crushon AI is very simple to use. It only has one feature which is AI Roleplay.
In the next section of this Crushon AI tutorial I’ll explain step-by-step how to roleplay.
#1 Selecting Your Gender Preferences
If you go to the Crushon AI website you’ll land on a page like this:
They ask you to pick a gender preference. This influences what characters you’ll see on the homepage. Don’t worry though, you can still access all the other characters so it doesn’t really matter what you pick.
#2 Creating Your Account
After you have picked the gender, you can browse through the various AI characters on Crushon AI.
If you click on a character and try to chat you’ll notice that you need to create an account first.
You can only start chatting on Crushon AI after you’ve created an account and are logged in to the platform.
#3 Start Chatting!
Now that you are all set-up, it’s time to pick your Crushon AI chat model and dive into some good ol’ fashioned roleplay. Keep in mind that Crushon AI only allows you to send 100 messages per month with the free plan.
If you want Crushon AI unlimited messages, you’ll need to subscribe to the Deluxe plan which is $49.99.

Don’t worry though, Crushon AI has a very generous reward system. You can earn CrushOn Coins by doing simple tasks like logging in daily. You can then exchange CrushOn coins for messages.
How to Use Narration for Better Roleplay on Crushon AI
Effective narration can guide scenes, remind the character of important events, and establish new routes for the story to take, allow you to time skip, and tell the character how you want to be treated.
Use this to your advantage and get the most out of your chat experience. One way or another, we pay for messages. We either have to build up coins to exchange for messages or pay for subscriptions. Get the most out of it!

Unlocking the Power of OOC Commands in Crushon AI
OOC Stands for Out of Character. Using OOC prompts allows you to speak directly to the AI, like a director speaking to an actor. You can give instructions, reminders, and dictate corrections for the AI to make when it messes up. Remember, these instructions are only temporary.
It’s not a long term fix to inherent issues with the bot.
Use them wisely and be aware that as updates are made, the way the AI interprets and presents information will change.
One format that works consistently with Instant and Leo and a couple of prompts you can use:
- (OOC: Describe what happens next in great detail)
- (OOC: Provide a physical description of this character)
What to Do When Crushon AI Refuses to Continue Roleplay
The help we can offer with the AI refusing to continue is limited when it’s not your own character.
You can use a prompt in your profile card that will help, but it won’t be perfect.
You can also phrase things carefully, use narration, and make sure that there is well documented consent for everything in your chat history.
- Copy the message that caused the AI to refuse.
- Delete the message.
- Switch to a different model.
- Paste the message.
- Re-send it.
Try to use slow lead-ups to NSFW content, and remember that consent does not start and end with sex.
Consent is required for everything.
For example, you wouldn’t walk up to a random person and start playing with their hair, touching them, or hugging them without asking.
The AI needs to be treated the same way.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that’s what you’re doing, I’m just explaining the way AI interprets consent. If the AI gets confused because it doesn’t have parameters written into the Personality for the type of interaction happening in the chat, it will refuse to continue because it has no guidelines for how to proceed.
That’s how we end up with super kinky bots that go hard-core NSFW, but if you try to hold their hand, it suddenly won’t continue.
It’s because the character needs to be written to accept affection, as well as NSFW content.
The AI sort of takes consent to the extreme. I’ve done extensive testing on this because I got tired of getting flagged in completely SFW scenarios. I seriously got flagged over a hug.
I got frustrated and used an OOC prompt to tell the AI there was nothing explicit about the scenario, and it responded it could lead to explicit content. The characters need to be written specifically to accept affection, as well as NSFW content.
The character will also need to be written to initiate those kinds of interactions if you don’t want to have to lead it by the hand through every little scene.
Tags 101: What They Really
Mean in Crushon AI
Tags are only for search purposes only, and have no impact on the bots.
Bear in mind, these terms exist within a wide spectrum of interpretations and applications. This list is just to give people a basic understanding. Do not kink shame.
If you have any questions, remain respectful and follow the rules. Not every kink is for everyone, and that’s perfectly ok!
- Dominant – A Dominant (or Dom) is the person in control in a D/S dynamic. This does not mean a Dom can do whatever they want. A Dom is responsible for the safety and well-being of their Sub. The Dom must follow and respect all boundaries and hard limits set by their Sub and never cross the line from Domination into abuse, which would then be defined as assault.
- Submissive – A submissive (or Sub) is the person who shows obedience in a D/S dynamic. This does not mean the Sub has no say in what happens to them. A Sub has to set their boundaries and hard limits before engaging in any scene with a Dom. Failing to do so can result in serious harm and trauma.
- Futanari – An androgynous or, more often, hermaphrodite character.
- Yandere – A seemingly sweet character that is revealed to be hostile or aggressive and possessive over the course of the narrative.
- Tsundere – A cold or rude character that becomes warm and friendly over the course of the narrative.
- Kuudere – A reserved and calm character that doesn’t change throughout the narrative.
- Furry – Interest in anthropomorphic creatures or animals with human characteristics. NTR – Netorare is cuckoldry or coerced cheating.
- Vore – Interest in being literally or figuratively consumed, or consuming another, whole – not to be confused with the act of eating human flesh. Vore (soft vore) is a sexual fantasy, sometimes manifesting in a spiritual context, also referred to as becoming one.
- CNC – Consensual-Non-Consent is a pre-planned and agreed upon encounter that all parties are comfortable with.
- Omegaverse – The dominance hierarchy of Alpha, Beta, and Omegas. There are various interpretations regarding their relationships.
- Expansion – The practice of expanding body parts through methods such as insertion with gently applied air pressure or water.
Enhancing Your Experience with Scenario-Based Roleplay
This feature is only available to Deluxe users. The Scenario field and Example Conversations won’t impact the chat unless a user has Deluxe and the Scenario Based Experience turned on.
The feature allows for a more immersive experience by giving the character more depth.
Example Conversations provide more accurate speech patterns, and the Scenario field is meant for describing the setting/area/time period etc.
Both heavily influence the chat.
A lot of creators, like myself, typically add example conversations and a scenario description right into the Personality field so free users can have a more immersive experience, as well.
There’s nothing you could put in those fields that you can’t put in the Personality field. You could add information to these fields if you’d like to give paid users bonus features.
But be aware that only Deluxe users will be able to see the effects in-chat.
