How to Import Character AI to Spicychat AI

Are you looking to import character AI to SpicyChat AI because your favorite AI character starts throwing lines like”I am afraid I can’t do that” after you try to spice things up? 🥵

Heck, you might even been banned from Character AI because you tried sexting.

In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to import characters from C.AI to SpicyChat AI in less than 2 minutes.

Step 1. Install CAI Tools

If you have a pre-existing bot you wish to upload from Character.ai you will need CAI Tools. This is a Chrome/Firefox extension that can be found on:

• Chrome store link
• Firefox store link

Step 2. Accessing the Character on Character.ai

Once you have either Chrome extensions installed onto your browser of choice, go to the character you wish to upload, on the top right corner of the page there will be a button for CAI Tools:

Step 3. Exporting the Character Data

Once you have clicked on the CAI Tools button you’ll be met with the following options:

• Download Character (JSN)
• Download Character Card (PNG)

What you’ll need is either the JSON (via “Download Character”) or PNG (via “Download Character Card”).

The differences between the two are:

JSN

Just the text from the description/interactions of the character. You will have to either upload or generate an image for the character afterward, but that is optional.

PNG: 

Is considered the Character Card that is used universally between Spicychat and other AI websites/UI programs; has both the picture and the character description data within the image.

Step 4. Importing the Character to SpicyChat AI

Once you’ve downloaded either, simply go to the Character Creation screen on SpicyChat AI click Import, and let SpicyChat AI do the rest!

Step 5. Customizing the Imported Character

A big reason people are looking for NSFW Character AI alternatives such as SpicyChat AI is that Character AI does not allow NSFW.

When you import an SFW bot from Character.ai to SpicyChat AI, it technically can handle adult topics, but it’s not built for that.
